'Arthur Miller's Nightmare'..

Taken from the artist’s ‘Nightmare’ series, Pure Evil draws upon the iconic portraits of Andy Warhol which now define the bold line-work and block colour of the Pop Art movement..

Pure Evil’s artwork reveals a sinister slant to an image deeply engrained in the modern conscious- that of Ms Marilyn Monroe- in an effort to uncover a layer of truth hidden behind the celebrity makeup. The artwork shows the starlett’s mask both physically and metaphorically slipping, topped off with the provocative title 'Arthur Miller’s Nightmare' directly referring to Monroe’s failed marriage to the famed playwrite.
