David Johnston's Loop imagery

here's a little project that's been keeping David Johnston busy. It's this years campaign imagery for the Loop festival. The image which the campaign is centered around is a photograph of a sculpture he created, of the loop logo as a sound wave. It's an example of other more 'physical' representations of statistical information like his Hours of light and dark Calenders. It also appears a nod to Peter saville's work for Joy Division...

Has he gone mad...

No...He's gone 3D.  This years light calenders from David Johnston (Accept and Proceed) sees the graphics being formed rather printed.  They're still printed in glow in the dark ink and white and black as previously, this time on to a vacum formed base called styrene, i believe!  Come in and check out these extra terrestrial forms...

david johnston shows its a leap year

Welcome to 2008 from The Daily Duff  ;  )  Clever young David Johnston has followed up on his designs of 2007 and again looked at the meteorological societies statistics for both 'hours of light' and 'hours of dark' again this year.  This guy has got some skills, again creating really beautiful clever designs showing basic information.  For me its what good design is all about...  There is a special edition of 20 of each in Gold and then an edition of 100 in black and in white..  Come and see them in the flesh
